2013/2015. 1/5 Limited Edition. Resin Urethane/Polyurethane Foam. 38x29x14 cm.
The piece «Selfie» was started in 2012 when the term «selfie» was a newer expression. Now the word is a part of most people’s vocabulary. Smartphones and selfiesticks are documenting and illustrating people’s «selfs» and their lives all over the world. The level of self-awarness is on the edge of narcissism and self-senterness. People posing and making their lives look glamourous and perfect through social media which is mostly far from reality. Blow of kisses and fake smiles.
